The Australian APEC Study Centre at RMIT University is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the 2022 APEC – Australia Women in Research Fellowship.
This exciting opportunity supports women’s economic empowerment in the APEC region and human capital development in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)-related fields in developing economies.
Funded by the Australian Government Department of Education, Skills and Employment, there are 20 fellowships available of up to AU$20,000 in financial support each for female researchers from developing APEC economies to work in partnership with an Australian education institution to undertake a research project over one to four months. This opportunity is open to citizens and permanent residents from People’s Republic of China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Philippines, Thailand, and Viet Nam.
We hope that you will extend this invitation to apply to eligible women researchers in STEM from your international networks in the Asia-Pacific that would appreciate this opportunity to partner with your university for a short-term research project. Applicants are asked to provide evidence of academic support by an Australian organisation or university.
We would be most grateful if you could circulate this information throughout your network of academics and post-doctorate researchers. Please note that applications will close 17 May 2022.
