Lecturer in Health Economics, UCL – Institute for Global Health
Salary: £45,610 – £53,757 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance, Grade 8
We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Health Economics to work within our Centre for Global Health Economics, at the UCL Institute for Global Health. The post holder will be responsible for an active and growing research and teaching portfolio in the economics of global health. They will have the opportunity to pursue a research programme in this area alongside key collaborators within and outside UCL including partner organisations in India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Kenya, South Africa (among others) and/or with their existing networks.
They will also take on a leadership role on UCL’s MSc in Health Economics and Decision Science and will be responsibility for the development and delivery of course content and support and mentoring of postgraduate students.
Key Requirements
Candidates are expected to have a PhD in economics, development economics, health economics or public economics and have a demonstrated capability to initiate and conduct quality research. Experience of teaching in a higher education environment is essential as are strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience of effectively supervising and mentoring PhD students would be advantageous.
